About the event

Cold wax medium is a versatile medium that is used with oil paint at room temperature . It has a rich consistency which is ideal for creating texture, recieving dry pigment and increasing the drying time of oil paint. It can be built up in layers to create luminous colours or spread thickly to create rich impasto effects. Its very messy but you will get completely absorbed as you start experimenting.

Much of the joy with this medium is in the unpredictability of it. you will find delightful effects you weren't expecting and may change direction as the work develops. keep an open mind and be prepared to explore. It is my go to medium for my proffesional work. You will work on 5 paper peieces and 2 boards.

In this workshop you will learn;

About cold wax, what you can use it on and how to apply it
